Angliss is the Gourmet Purveyor for WGS 2018’s Discovery Brunch at Tamarind Hill


WGS The Discovery Brunch is yet another dazzling occasion organized by the World Gourmet Summit, gathering the best in the Food and Beverage industry for one of the biggest gourmet parties of the year. Under the theme of “Discovery”, Tamarind Hill’s historic architecture was a perfect fit to host this year’s extravagant brunch party.

Guests had the opportunity rub shoulders with influential chefs and personalities whilst sampling WGS-exclusive gastronomic cuisines and crafted beverages dished out by various Food and Beverage establishments such as Salted and Hung, Morsels and the Song of India. Angliss Singapore is proud to be one of the main sponsors of the ingredients featured in the all cuisines served during the event.

Cuisine sampling was not all that took place at the event. With die-hard foodies and industry experts gathered at this brunch, it was a great melting pot of different information about the latest food trends and product types that could be shared. Angliss had the delight of sharing with esteemed guests our latest product additions such as cooking oil products from our new partnership with Bunge FarmOrigin, fresh seafood from new in-house brand “DelicaSea”, as well as a popular international meat brands – National Beef and Hershell’s.

All in all, it was one fun-filled, gastronomical Brunch affair!

Angliss’ Collaboration with World Gourmet Summit for the First Time!


The World Gourmet Summit (WGS) is one of Asia’s most highly anticipated food and wine festival and a fantastic opportunity to see what’s hot and happening in the global gastronomic landscape.

Running from April 2 to April 29, WGS is now in its 22nd year, with this year’s festival themed “The Discovery WGS”, which aims to take diners off the beaten track to explore some the world’s lesser known and exciting cuisines, presented by a stellar group of masterchefs along with up-and-coming as well as established culinary stars from Asia, Eastern and Central Europe and America.

WGS’ opening reception was held at One Farrer Hotel & Spa on 3rd April 2018, with a huge turn up of about 900 guests. Angliss Singapore is ecstatic to be one of the official gourmet partners for the event; showcasing our latest cooking oil products from our recent exclusive partnership with Bunge FarmOrigin, our newest in-house live seafood brand – DelicaSea, as well as a tasting session for one of our popular meat brands – National Beef.

Aside from the dazzling awards of excellence presentation ceremony honouring 30 outstanding individuals from the Food & Beverage (F&B) and Hospitality industries for their professionalism, exemplary service and innovations, the greatest highlight of the night had to be the array of exotic, picturesque creations from various reputable chefs, featuring a variety of quality ingredients from Angliss, ranging from succulent meats to fresh seafood!

The night was indeed a wonderful platform to network, experience sensational culinary excitements and showcase culinary products and inspirations to date.

Our First Distribution Exclusivity with an Esteemed Oil Partner, Bunge FarmOrigin

Angliss Singapore Pte Ltd is proud to announce our latest partnership with Bunge FarmOrigin!

Angliss is the Newly Appointed Distributor for General Mills

We are pleased to announce that Angliss Singapore Pte Ltd is the newly appointed distributor for General Mills in Singapore, with effect from 10th December 2017. Angliss Singapore will be handling the distribution of the 5 big brands under General Mills, specifically in the HORECA channels.

General Mills’ brands are known for quality and started off in 1880 with Gold Medal flour.  Their headquarter is in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, and generate nearly $17 billion in annual sales. Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, and generate nearly $17 billion in annual sales. About 60 percent of our sales come from U.S. Retail products. The rest of our sales result from products in more than 100 markets worldwide.

Angliss obtained rights to Simplot distributorship

We are pleased to announce that Angliss will be the exclusive distributor of the brand, Simplot in Singapore

The J. R. Simplot Company (commonly referred to as Simplot) was founded in 1929 by 20-year-old John Richard Simplot  near the small agricultural community of Declo in south central Idaho.  Simplot made billions from the commercialization of frozen french fries by one of its scientists, chemist Ray L. Internationally renowned one Michelin-starred Masterchef Salvatore Bianco together with the city’s four leading Italian chefs, Chef Marco Manocchio from Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, Chef Yohhei Sasaki from il Cielo, Hilton Singapore, Chef Antonio Cocozza from Grissini, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel and Chef Carlo Marengoni from The Lighthouse Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore collaborated on a special menu just for the evening.

Angliss at Specialty & Fine Food Asia 2017

Specialty Fine Food Asia is the inaugural Asian edition of London’s famous Specialty & Fine Food Fair – a dedicated platform for gourmet, artisan and premium food producers and suppliers to meet trade buyers in Europe. Held at stunning Suntec Convention Centre from 18th to 20th July, Angliss Singapore is delighted to be part of the show, showcasing our new brands for meat as well as new product categories ranging from Antipasto to micro-cress.

One of the highlights of the exhibition, is the Fine Food Live demo theatre where chefs deliver ideas and practical menu and cooking tips. For the 3 days, top chefs from across Southeast Asia demonstrated their cooking skills to inspire and inform attendees, and one of them is Jeremy Nguee, a well-known chef and food personality in Singapore behind F&B solutions company, Preparazzi.  And we are glad to have him as the chef and host to introduce and whip up a couple of interesting dishes using Angliss ingredients in one of his sessions.

It was indeed a great platform to bring the trade together for focused business, networking and shared inspiration.

Kerrygold Sponsors St. Patrick’s Day Celebration


On 16th March 2017, a day before St. Patrick’s Day, the Irish community in Singapore gathered at Conrad Hotel for a grand celebration.  As part of the St. Patrick’s Day “Promote Ireland” 2017 programme, Minister of Finance, Michael Noonan attended the party to promote awareness and confidence in Ireland’s economic recovery, as well as showcasing what they have to offer as a nation.

Kerrygold, an Irish brand, of course supported the event with a continuous flow of cheese assortments and intricate pastries made with its butter. Along with many other Irish brand food sponsors, everyone get to reminisce the taste of Irish delicacies while having a great time!


Kansai Exhibition and Kansai Omakase 4-Hands Cooking


Suppliers from the Kansai region gathered for a food exhibition at Maguro-Donya Miura-misaki-Kou  Sushi & Dining on 10th March 2017.   The Kansai Foods Export Cooperative Association (KFE) is aggressively introducing the region’s interesting food, cooking and culture through their exclusive distributor in Singapore, Miumi Japan Food.

Kansai region encompasses Osaka, Kyoto and Nara and has developed into a famous commercial area.  With its long history, Kansai has created its own unique taste and food culture.  One of the very famous and typical dishes of Kyoto is called “Kyo-Ryori”.  This dish utilises the seasonal material cooked with “Dashi” (seasoned soup) and expressing the feeling of 4 seasons and its flavours. Chefs in the Kansai area not only focus on the cooking method, but also on how the dish is decorated and how the customers felt about their dishes.  You could almost say it is an “Art”.

The following day, Kansai Omakase lunch and dinner invitations were sent out to the media and trade partners for a sumptuous food tasting treat at Tamashii Robataya.  A 4-Hands Cooking Omakase by Chef Yukari Tsuchida and Chef Patrick Tan.  Chef Yukari was specially invited from Japan for the event and she has worked for the largest Japanese cooking school and then opened her own school named “Ouchi Café Cooking Studio Midori en”.  Chef Patrick Tan worked for Tatsuya and gone on to start his Tamashii Robatayaki and Boruto restaurants. 


Asian Masters 2017

Angliss Singapore is proud to be the Official Gourmet Purveyor of the “Asian Masters” event.  A year-long festival celebrating Asian Cuisine, Produce and Talents hosted by Singapore Press Holdings. It brings together over 50 top Asian restaurants across Singapore to come up with special edition menus for the public to enjoy for a limited time period.

To kick off the event, an awards gala known as “The Best Asian Restaurants in conjunction with Asian Masters” was recently held at Mandarin Orchard on 29th March 2017.  All in all, the gala reception has seen a total of 24 gold winners and 21 silver winners. Among the gold winners are VLV, Shinji by Kanesaka, and The Imperial Treasure Fine Shanghai Cuisine. To celebrate the great occasion, the winners along with 200 guests were treated to a sumptuous spread prepared using Angliss products.

Through Asian Masters, Angliss is sincere in collaborating with all the Asian Chef Masters in Singapore to infuse western ingredients into their recipes and come up with superb East Meets West pairings. And it is truly our honour to have this golden opportunity to empower these creators with our top-grade produce sourced from across the globe.
